In recent years, Korean Government have tried to establish the local lifelong education systems as good as those of many advanced countries. However, there are many problems related to establishment of local lifelong education systems.
First, Government makes little financial investment in local center lifelong learning. Second, there is no expert like adult educators in the public organizations of lifelong education. Third, quality of the programs is not that better than that of social(or private) organizations Forth, the expertism and the will to embark on this field is the chief lack in local administration of lifelong education. Fifth, the public organizations of lifelong education have no connection among themselves, which result in providing overlapped programs.
In order to remove those problems, Government should invest large sums in local lifelong learning systems, increase the number of expert like adult educators, and have connection with local autonomous entities and Ministry of Education.
