이 연구의 목적은 교육이나 훈련 맥락에서 이야기치료 문화에 대한 이해를 촉진하는데 사용할 수 있는 활동자료를 국내 상황에 적합하게 수정 적용하고 그에 따른 시사점들을 논의하는데 있다. 연구 참여자는 대학원 이야기치료 강좌의 수강생 전원으로 이들은 덜리치센터에서 개발한 두 가지 유형의 설문지를 각각 작성한 뒤 구두와 서면으로 두 차례에 걸쳐 반영을 실시했고, 연구자는 그 반영자료를 토대로 서베이 작성에 대한 그들 경험의 내용과 성격을 검토한 뒤 그 결과를 동일한 활동을 실시한 호주훈련생들의 반영 기록과 비교분석했다. 연구의 결과 한국학생들과 호주훈련생들 사이에 유사성도 발견되었으나 사회문화적 차이로 인한 차이점도 관찰됨에 따라 논의에서는 그러한 반영 결과에 대한 연구자의 해석 제시 및 결과 활용방안을 다루었다.
The purpose of this study was to adapt an exercise developed to facilitate an understanding of the narrative ways of working to a Korean educational context and discuss its implications for Korea. The study participants consisted of a class of students in a graduate-level narrative therapy course offered at a Korean university. They filled out two different survey questionnaires developed at Dulwich Centre and provided their reflections in two different forms, one oral, the other written. Drawing on these data, the article discusses what the students experienced, comparing their responses with a document reporting reflections of Australian trainees who had performed the same surveys. This study reveals both similarities and differences, apparently due to socio-cultural factors. The article concludes with the author’s reflections on the results, offering ideas regarding education and training of narrative practices in Korea.
