The purpose of this study is to define Strategic Human Resource Development (SHRD) major domains and its critical tasks. 25 HRD practitioners working in domestic businesses were selected as a group of experts for this study and the Delphi method was conducted three times. The factor analysis was applied to see SHRD critical tasks\' importance recognition of 201 HRD practitioners. The findings of the study are as follows. Firstly, the SHRD in Korea is analyzed into four main domains, such as sharing and spreading organization culture, managing talent, supporting to achieve management performance and business goals, and leading changes and innovation. Secondly, the 19 SHRD critical tasks are drawn; establishing value system of a company (mission, vision, and value) for strengthening organization capacities, aligning HRD and HRM for talent management, intensifying HRD activities with business strategy, understanding and sharing necessary of change and innovation, etc. It is expected that the findings from this study will be used to grasp the current status of HRD (the recognition level analysis), to suggest the standard for benchmarking, and as a basic data for a guide to apply to the practical business.
