본 연구는 간호대학생의 감성지능, 공감 능력이 의사소통 능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 자료수집은 2017년 10월 01일부터 10월 15일까지 구조화된 설문지를 사용하였고 B 광역시 소재 4년제 대학교에 재학 중인 간호대학생 145명을 대상으로 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS Win 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 대상자의 감성지능은 7점 만점에 4.96±.68점이었고, 공감 능력은 5점 만점에 3.46±.29점이었으며, 의상소통 능력은 5점 만점에 3.24±.47점이었다. 감성지능은 공감 능력(r=.365, p<.001), 의사소통 능력(r=.546, p<.001)과 공감 능력은 의사소통 능력(r=.496, p<.001)과 유의하게 양의 상관관계가 있었다. 감성지능(β=.387, p<.001), 공감 능력(β=.347, p<.001), 성적(β=-.144, p=.031)이 의사소통 능력에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며(F=33.977, p<.001), 이들 변수들의 의사소통 능력에 대한 설명력은 41%였다. 간호대학생의 감성지능과 공감 능력을 향상시키는 것이 의사소통 능력을 향상시키는 방안이 될 수 있을 것이며, 대상자의 감성지능과 공감 능력이 향상되면 의사소통 능력의 향상을 가져오고 이는 환자 간호나 간호업무의 성과에도 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 사료된다.
This study is a descriptive study to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence, empathy and communication competence of nursing students. Data collection was conducted from Oct. 01, 2017 to Oct. 15, 2017. 145 nursing students participated in this study. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS Win 21.0 program. The emotional intelligence of the subjects was 4.96±.68 points out of 7, empathy was 3.46±.29 points out of 5 and communication competence was 3.24±.47 points out of 5. The emotional intelligence was related to empathy(r=.365, p<.001), communication competence(r=.546, p<.001), there was a significant positive correlation. Emotional intelligence(β=.387, p<.001), empathy(β=.347, p<.001) and the grade(β=-.144, p=.031) had a significant effect on communication competence(F=33.977, p<.001). The explanatory power of these variables was 41%. The improvement of the emotional intelligence and empathy ability of the subject will improve the communication competence. It is expected to have a positive effect on performance of nursing.
