This study reviews the achievements and limitations of Nuri-curriculum which has been applied to the early childhood education and child-care field for six years, and proposes the improvement directions. The outcomes of the curriculum were examined in 5 aspects: raising of the quality of early childhood education, guaranteeing of equal starting point in early life, strengthening of humanistic education, establishing a system for national level curriculum, and pursuing of curriculum connectivity. Then, emerging issues were proposed based on the following 6 aspects: building regular research system, strengthening the curriculum, joint research on early childhood/elementary/junior high school education, developing curriculum suitable to exceptional class, raising parents’ awareness, and teacher training. In order for Nuri-curriculum to become a truly national level curriculum, the goal of Nuri-curriculum should be clearly set without overlooking the fact that the purpose of Nuri-curriculum is to manage the quality of education to guarantee equal starting point and opportunity in early life. Additionally, the empirical analysis of Nuri-curriculum should be performed from diverse perspectives to see how its outcomes have served its purpose
