본 연구는 가정과 연계한 텃밭 가꾸기 활동이 유아의 인성 및 자연친화적 태도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 연구 대상은 부산시에 위치한 두 개의 공립유치원에 재원 중이 만 5세 유아 56명 으로 실험집단 28명, 통제집단 28명이다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 가정과 연계한 텃밭 가꾸기 활동을 경험한 실험집단과 경험하지 않은 통제집단 간의 인성은 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다(t=7.07. p<,05). 이는 가 정과 연계한 텃밭 가꾸기 활동이 유아의 인성에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤음을 보여주는 것이다. 둘째, 가정과 연계한 텃밭 가꾸기 활동을 경험한 실험집단과 경험하지 않은 통제집단 간의 자연친화적 태도에 통계적으 로 유의한 차이가 있었다(t=5.93, p<.05). 이는 가정과 연계한 텃밭 가꾸기 활동이 유아의 자연친화적 태도 에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤음을 보여주는 것이다. 이러한 연구 결과는 텃밭 가꾸기 활동이 가정과 연계가 되 었을 때 효과적이라는 점을 시사한다.
The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of gardening activities connected with homes on young children’s character and nature-friendly attitude. The subjects were 58 five-years-old children from two public kindergartens located in Busan Metropolitan City, consisting of 28 children in the experimental group and 28 children in the control group. The results of the study are as follows: First, there were statistically significant differences between two groups of experimental and control in young children’s character(t=7.07, p<.05). This means they have positive effects on young children’s character. Second, they showed statistically significant differences between two groups of experimental and control in young children’s nature-friendly attitude(t=5.93, p<.05). This means they have positive effects on young children’s nature-friendly attitude. These results suggest that Young children’s gardening activities can be effective when it comes from home activities.
