The purpose of this study was to examine changes in the work of early childhood teacher due to the particulate matter situation. The research method was qualitative content analysis. Research participants of the study were 58 early childhood teachers who are working at 5 kindergarten & 3 childcare center in Chungbuk, C city. The collected data included episode records of the teachers related to particulate matter, group interviews with 16 representative teachers in 8 institutions, other materials and researcher journals. Data analysis was conducted through research questioning & preparation for sample extraction, sample extraction, then coding and analysis. As the study result, the changes of teachers work were grasped 5 categories as like construction of the education plan in duplicate, increasing variables to consider for daily operation, strengthening individual care for young children, changing contents of connection & cooperation with parents, increasing educational environment configuration and management work. Based on these results, four discussions were made. The implication of this study is that various solutions for sufficient space that can replace outdoor activities, communication problems with parents, and air quality management problems are investigated at the level of early childhood education institution, local government, and central government.
