The current paper was conducted in order to analyze correlational relationships among early childhood pre-service teachers’ sense of happiness, ego-resilience, and self-determination. For these purposes, 174 pre-service teachers of department of early childhood education in a four-year university located in Gyeongsangnam-do participated in surveys. The study then applied Pearson correlations and multiple regressions analyses for its statistical analysis. The results showed that, first, sub-categories of sense of happiness of the pre-service teachers demonstrated a high level of positive correlations. Second, the pre-service teachers’ sense of happiness appeared to affect their ego-resilience. Third, the pre-service teachers’ sense of happiness appeared to affect their self-determination. The current paper suggested a few implications regarding the needs of teacher programs that aim to enhance their competencies in terms of overcoming stressful circumstances encountered during college courses and increasing their sense of happiness.
