최근에 고등교육기관에서 일과 학습의 미스매치를 해소하고 교육의 질을 높이고자 하는 정책으로 도입된 것이 교수학습지원 시스템과 강의평가제의 의무시행이다. 이와 함께 2000년 초부터 새로운 교수법이라는 이름으로 학습자 중심교육을 위한 교수법이 소개되고 강의실에서 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 많은 교수들이 새로운 교수법을 수업에 적용하면서 겪는 어려움을 토로하고 있다. 대학교육의 수월성과 혁신을 강조하고 학습자의 역량강화가 교육성취 결과로 측정되는 요즈음 대학은 학습자 중심 교육을 강조하고 학습자 중심 교수역량에 대한 고민들은 많으나 구체적인 논의나 경험적인 자료는 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 대학교육에 대한 외부적인 환경변화 요구와 내부적인 변화속도 사이의 간극을 최소화하고 학습자 중심의 교수방법을 현실화하기 위한 방안 모색을 위해 대학에서의 학습자 중심 교육에 대해 고찰하고자 한다.
Recently, there are two policies implemented in higher education institutions to eliminate mismatches between work and learning and to improve the quality of education. It is the implementation of the teaching-learning support system and lecture evaluation system. In addition, since early 2000, the teaching method for learner-centered education has been introduced under the name of new teaching method and is being performed in the lecture. However, many professors have expressed difficulty in applying new teaching methods to class. Now, emphasizing the excellence and innovation of college education and strengthening the capacity of learners are measured as educational achievement results. The university emphasizes learner-centered education and has a lot of concerns about learner-centered teaching capacity, but lacks concrete discussions or empirical data. In this paper, we focus on the learner-centered education in the university to minimize the gap between the external environment change demands and the internal change rate of the university education and to search the direction to realize the learner-centered teaching methods.
