이 연구는 수학교과에서 중도 지적장애 중학생의 분류 수행 특성을 알아보기 위해 특수교육 기본 교육과정을 이수하고 있는 중도 지적장애 중학생 12명을 대상으로 분류 검사를 실시하였다. 이 학생들은 모양과 색깔에 대한 한 가지 속성 분류에서 상대적으로 정답률이 높게 나타난 반면에, 두 가지 속성의 분류와 부정이 포함된 속성의 분류에서 정답률이 낮았고, 특히, 크기에 관련 된 분류에서 정답률이 매우 낮았다. 오답 유형을 살펴보면, 문항의 그림에서 주어지는 특정 속성 (모양 또는 색깔)에 집중하거나 두 가지 속성 분류에서 한 가지 속성에 대한 답만 제시하는 경향을 보였다. 따라서 학생들이 특정 속성에 집중하기보다 문항에서 제시한 속성에 집중할 수 있도록 하는 문제 상황 개발 및 교수 방법에 대한 추가적인 연구가 필요하다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics of classifications of middle school students with intellectual disabilities. A total of twelve middle school students with severe intellectual disabilities who learned the basic curriculum for special education were tested for classification ability. The participant students showed relatively high correctness rate in one attribute class of shape and color, whereas the correctness rate was low in classification of two attributes class and attribute class including negation, and on correcting categorization related to size was particularly low. Therefore, further research was needed on the development of problem situations and teaching methods that allow students to concentrate on the attributes presented in the item rather than focusing on the specific attributes.
