This study investigated “Foundation Louis Vuitton” that has opened a museum and operates related activities as a method of communication between a company and the public. Foundation Louis Vuitton, which was opened in 2014, is the name of a museum in ‘Bois de Boulogne’ in Paris that LVMH(Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton) company established. The preparatory committee for the establishment of the museum faced difficulties such as objection of protection group of ‘Jardin d’Acclimatation’ located in the Bois de Boulogne or legal limitations during the preparation of the opening. However, the building could be completed thanks to the pushing power of the preparatory committee which sticked their neck out in order to push forward the project to create a space which will exhibit major works of art for national benefits and the whole world and the cooperation of Paris city. The museum building thus created was established by the foundation under the condition that it will belong to Paris city 55years later. Foundation Louis Vuitton meets the public through new exhibitions every year and has been steadily communicated with the public by steadily implementing culture and art programs since the opening the museum. Here, it should be noted that the foundation does not conduct activities just aiming for the museum that exists for the promotion of the company. The museum team makes efforts for new creations cooperating with artists with sincerity. Exhibitions, such as Sergei Shchukin exhibition collaborated with the State Hermitage Museum and Pushkin Museum. contemporary art exhibition connected with MoMA in the US, an exhibition that invited African artists to show current South Africa, and a photo exhibition of Louis Vuitton shops taken with Louis Vuitton masters, demonstrate the competence of Foundation Louis Vuitton which establishes its own domain making a bold new attempts. This study gave an opportunity to look into the establishment of museums and activities thereby as a method with which companies contribute to society. It is considered that the moves of Foundation Louis Vuitton that unfolds new adventures by collecting the greatest writers of the day and collaborating them contributes to securing trust for their parent company even though they are not promoting their parent company directly. It is expected that the company keeps developing such activities and communicate with the public through more various channels, thereby settling down as a real culture and art platform.
