The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of core job characteristics of dental hygienist on organizational commitment. From August 7, 2017 to August 31, 2017, questionnaires were distributed to 300 dental hygienists working at dental clinics and clinics, and they were filled out by self-filling method. The collected data were collected using the SPSS Window Ver. 18.0 program IBM Co., Armonk, NY, USA). The results of this study were as follows: The higher the age, the higher the score in autonomy and organizational commitment. The longer the working period and the higher the level, the higher the score in skill variety, autonomy, and organizational commitment (p <0.05). Diversity of job duties, skill variety, task significance, autonomy, feedback and organizational commitment were correlated positively with dental hygienist s core job characteristics. The factors affecting organizational commitment of dental hygienists were feedback (β = 0.278), autonomy (β = 0.219), and skill variety(β = 0.123). In other words, the core job characteristics of the dental hygienist will influence the organizational commitment, which will provide implications for dental hygienist s job redesign and efficient human resource management.
