Korea has entered the world s fastest aged society and is entering a super-aged society. Modern society is exposed to various social risks due to various accidents such as natural disasters, and this danger threatens the aged who have various functions due to aging. The perception of social safety affects the level of establishment of safety management system in the society. Therefore, this study used the social survey results of Daejeon Metropolitan City in 2014 to examine factors affecting the perception of social security of the elderly. Only 379 elderly people aged 65 or older were included in the total data. The factors affecting social safety awareness were demographic factors, interpersonal characteristics, and community environment. Frequency analysis, t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were performed using Spss 22.0. The results showed that the older the elderly, the less inclusion of the elderly, the higher the fear of crime, the more anxiety about social safety perception.
