Although constructions of innovative cities for decentralization and balanced national development are proceeding in 10 metropolitan municipalities since 2007, conflicts between the residents are arising as people from the metropolitan area and neighboring areas flock together, Especially, Sejong metropolitan autonomous City is newly constructed as an multi-functional administrative city in 2012 and have win-win development situation as a rural area and multi-farming city. On the other hand, according to the result of Sejong City s social survey in 2016, as the new city(54.4%) has a lower social tolerance to its new neighbors despite its pleasant surroundings in comparison existing rural area(72.2%), the isolation and lack of communication between the residents is leading to the deterioration of the quality of life. Accordingly, the existing rural area and the new city center are promoting local food movement together that can restore and revitalize communities together by communicating and interacting. In this research, I try to analyze the factors that affect local residents satisfaction with the local food movement. In this study, independent variables are socio-demographic characteristics, local food preference and reliability, community awareness, community consciousness and kindness of local food center’s staff, and dependent variable is residents satisfaction with their lives. As a result, local food preference and reliability, consumers’ understanding, community consciousness and employee s kindness were found to have a significant impact on the residents satisfaction with their lives. Based on the results of this research, I would like to draw policy implications, especially it showed that the higher the local food preference and reliability, community consciousness, the higher the satisfaction.
