This study used meta-analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of the group counseling program for the improvement of self-integration of the elderly. A total of 38 studies were selected from 2004 to 2017. The results of the study are as follows. First, as a result of analyzing 183 effect sizes calculated from 38 papers, the mean effect size of elderly group counseling for improving self-integration was 1.980. Second, the mean effect size of self-integration sub-factor was 2.420 and the effect size value was larger. Third, the effect sizes of the mediating variables(members, number of sessions per week, gender, group program types) of the program were calculated. The results were as follows. the elderly residents (2.474), once a week (2.346), women group(2.132), Art therapy group (2.646) was significant. Fourth, the longer the group program session, the longer the operation time per session, the greater the effect. Based on these results, the implications for the development of self-integration group counseling program for the elderly were discussed.
