Objective:The otoacoustic emission (OAE) is a useful method for evaluating cochlear function. The aim of this study is the validation of TEOAE (transiently evoked otoacoustic emission) and DPOAE (Distortion product otoacoustic emissions) by the regulation of a body temperature in the mouse model. Method:Adult male ICR mice 7 weeks were used in this study. OAE test were performed according to body temperature at 34℃, 37℃ and 40℃ respectively. TEOAE and DPOAE were recorded using a CAPELLA (MADSEN) in the mouse. Results:In OAE test for the optimization of body temperature, the intensity of TEOAE and DPOAE was the lowest at 40℃ and the highest at 37℃, but no significantly difference. The 4 kHz DPOAE threshold of normal temperature was the lowest. The results suggest that the OAE for cochlear function test keep optimal body temperature for good reliable results in the mouse. KEY WORDS:Transiently evoked otoacoustic emission (TEOAE)·Distortion product otoacoustic emissions (DPOAE)· Body temperature·Mouse model.
