The purpose of this study is to examine how the children's cooking teaching program with on-line
interaction affects on the teaching efficacy and teaching attitude of preservice early childhood teachers.
For this purpose, Sixty-three preservice teachers who take early childhood cooking subject were selected
from a college in Daegu, Korea. For 15 weeks, they participated in the interaction through on-line
community between different groups and different cooking cases. The course was developed through
literature analysis and professional consultation and also four-professional gave a feedback through
on-line community to the preservice teachers. The assessment tools for early childhood teacher’s teaching
efficacy and attiteude were used as both pre and post test and data were analyzed with paired-samples
t-test. The results of this research is as follows; First, there were significant increases in the teaching
efficacy(P<.001). The teaching efficacy scores were different between the pre test(M=78.51,SD=6.13)
and post test(M=82.16, SD=6.01).Second, there were significant increases in the teaching attitude
(P<.001). The teaching attitude scores were different between the pre test(M=73.40,SD=8.49) and post
test(M=77.67, SD=8.48). The results show that the development program with on-line interaction affected
both the teaching efficacy and attitude of preservice early childhood teachers. It is meaningful that this
study provide a kind of on-line teaching model that help improve the teaching efficacy and attitude.
