무릎관절은 신체에서 가장 큰 관절 중 하나이면 서 체중 부하를 담당하는 관절로 골 구조 상 불안 정하고, 또한 외력을 받기 쉬운 하지의 중간에 위 치하기 때문에 손상이 잘 되므로 근육, 인대, 막 등 의 관절 외 연부 조직의 역할이 매우 크다(유웅서, 2007). 또한 선수들에게서 최고의 경기력을 발휘하 기 위해서는 무릎관절의 근기능이 무엇보다 우수 하여야 한다(김재호, 전용균, 2008). 이러한 무릎관 절의 근력을 증진시키기 위해 제한된 운동이 등속 성·등척성·등장성 운동이다(Abernethy, & Jurimae, 1996).
This study was conducted to examine the effects of isometric exercise with various degrees on the peak torque. The following results were obtained after measuring changes in maximum muscular strength in the participating groups after being submitted to 12 consecutive weeks of isometric exercise. A preliminary test, prior to the 12 weeks of isometric exercise, using the Cybex Humax NormTM (isometric exercise equipment) was also conducted. First, any significant differences were found when measuring the maximum muscular strength in the knees of the participating groups after 12 weeks of isometric exercise. Second, after being subjected to 12 weeks of isometric exercise, it was found that the group assigned to isometric exercise at 40° showed notable improvement in maximum muscular strength in the right knee joint as apposed to the 80° group (p< .05). No significant changes were found in the left knees of both groups. Therefore it can be concluded that an increase in maximum muscular strength in the knee joint as well as a change in the angle of maximum muscular strength manifestation can be achieved after 12 consecutive weeks of isometric exercise. Thus proving that changing the angle of maximum muscular strength manifestation can result in increased performance and also may be implemented in training program development.
