본 연구는 미술치료를 통하여 발달지체 유아가 학교생활과 가정에서 사회성에 어떠한 변화가 나타나는지 알아보고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 따라서 발달지체 유아의 사회성을 향상시키는데 긍정적인 변화로 나타난 선행연구를 통하여 발달지체 유아의 사회성 향상에 미술치료가 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 A시 장애유아특수학교의 발달지체 유아 1명을 대상으로 선정하였고, 발달지체 유아에게 매주 2회 총 26회기의 미술치료프로그램을 적용하였으며 측정도구로는 사회성숙도 검사를 사용하였고 그 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회성숙도검사 결과를 사전, 사후 비교하여 보았을 때, 사회연령과 사회지수가 향상되었고, 하위 7개영역에서 그 점수가 향상되어 미술치료를 통하여 발달지체 유아의 사회성이 향상됨을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 담임 면담 기록과 어머니 면담 기록, 연구자의 관찰기록을 사전, 사후 비교한 결과 미술치료를 통하여 발달지체 유아의 학교와 가정에서 발달지체 유아의 사회성에 긍정적인 변화가 나타난 것을 알 수 있었다. 이상의 결과를 통해 미술치료가 발달지체 유아의 사회성을 개선시킨다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
It turns out that the art therapy has an effect on the improvement of the sociality of a young child with developmental delay in earlier study. Because, to develop the sociality of the young child with developmental delay has a positive effect on the change in the problem behavior and learning disorder of him. The purpose of this study is to find what changes are in the sociality of him by art therapy in his school and home. The subject of this study is one young child with developmental delay at special disabled children school in A city. I applied art therapy two times a week, twenty six times totally, to him and used a social maturity scale for test. And the results of the study are as follows. First, as I compared the results of before with after social maturity scale, I found the improvement in a social age and social index, and in the sociality of the young child with developmental delay by art therapy in seven sub-categories. Second, the results of the comparison between pre and post records of a class teacher interview, mother interview and researcher’s observation showed positive changes in the sociality of him by art therapy in his school and home. As of the results, I found that the sociality of the child with developmental disability could be improved by the art therapy. Key Words : developmental delay, sociality, art therapy
