유아는 주도성과 양심을 지닌 자율적 존재감을 발달시키고, 옳고 그름에 대한 도덕적 판단을 하게 해주는 의식, 개인으로서의 자기 자신이나 자기가 속한 성의일원으로서의 자신,부모와 동일시하는 정도에 관한 느낌들을 발달시킨다. 유아기는 Erickson의 심리·사회적 발달이론에 의하면 두 번째 단계인 주도성 대 죄책감의 단계로서, 유아는 왕성한 에너지를 가지고 있으며, 새로운 것을 시도해보고자 애쓰고 협동적으로 일함으로써 죄책감이라는 심리적 위기감을 극복하려고 한다. 이때 부모에 대한 전적인 애착으로부터 부모와의 동일시로 바뀌게 되는데, 이것은 부분적으로 외디푸스적 경쟁과 죄책감의 결과이다(Erikson, 1950).
This study attempted to improve the self-help skill cooperation and that child perforrn daily life autonomously by art therapy program. There were 9 sessions and each session lasted approximately 50 minutes. The child is male, 5-years old and has one younger sister. The results of this study were as follow: First, the self-help skill and responsibility of the child was improved by completion of artworks. then the child adapted himself to a new environment. Second, the relative techniques and cooperation with friends of the child was improved by art therapy program. Third, the child's ability of problem-solving was improved by therapist's support and artwork. the child advanced in self-confidence Consequently, it was found that the art therapy program was effective in this subject.
