This paper emphasizes the need of promoting a multicultural education program to help those students in the lower grade have a better communal spirit towards multicultural community. The ultimate goal of the multicultural education is to raise conscientious awareness of other universal values and human rights in the world. This program was designed to fit the needs of multicultural families as well as nonmulticultural families. In the recent years, Korea has rapidly become a multicultural society. However, the Korean education policy has not changed to educate about the current diverse society. The multicultural education programs planed and hosted events or festivals for foreign residence in the community. The program will focus on helping those teachers who are working with students who come from a multicultural family. Also, teachers who are having difficulties disciplining their students in their new environment can benefit from this program. So I tried to find contents and materials from the other subject textbook and I made up this program interesting and exciting. My students got multicultural lesson from me and native teacher and read many multicultural books. Finally, they had human rights education and anti-bias education so they had a better communal spirit. Through this process, I could obtain the conclusions as the below. First, students become aware of the current diversity of society through multicultural education programs and know the advantages of multicultural families. Second, students can get rid of their bias for ethnic groups and they have joyful experience through cultural exchanging lesson. Third, students feel the need of multicultural education in their heart so become waiting that lessons eagerly.
