this study is intended to research on the awareness that general social workers in integrated social welfare facilities have of art therapy, and based on this, investigate the results from institutional, executive, and therapeutic perspectives of plans to establish art therapy, and finally submit political proposals for the use of art therapy by integrated social welfare facilities. This study draws the conclusion by conducting a survey and an interview, and analyzing the results. The survey was conducted targeting 81 social workers employed in integrated social welfare facilities located in Incheon. The survey is done to investigate the general present conditions and the awareness of art therapy by asking about current situations associated with art therapy in integrated social welfare facilities, social workers\' awareness of art therapy in terms of its concept and definition, expertise, and relationship with social welfare, and expected roles of art therapy and therapists. The first survey result is that social workers in integrated social welfare facilities are more aware of art therapy than the average, but it does not mean their awareness is great. The second survey result is that social workers think of the introduction of a new qualification to produce national certified art therapists as a way to enhance their professionalism. The interview was conducted targeting four social workers who have experience of carrying out an art therapy program in integrated social welfare facilities. The questions were about the type of the program management and the contents, their awareness of art therapy in integrated social welfare facilities, and the problems and matters to be improved. Second interview result, which shows what should be improved in the field of art therapy, is that the development of teaching aids and programs, the implementation of clinical training and supervision, and the enforcement of continuing education,
