본 연구는 집단미술치료를 통해 시각적 자기표현 및 언어적 자기표현과 그림카드를 이용한 사물기억력의 변화를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 주간보호센터를 이용하는 치매노인 18명으로 2010년 2월4일부터 2010년 7월 15일까지 두 그룹으로 나눠 각각 주 1회 60분씩 총 20회기의 집단미술치료를 실시하고 그 효과를 검증하기 위해 풍경구성법 척도와 미술 능력 평가표를 본 연구자가 수정하여 시각적 자기표현 척도로 사용하였다. 언어표현은 기능적 언어행동 검사표를 수정하여 3점 척도로 표시하였고 기억력 검사(Enhanced Cued Recall Test)도구를 기초로 직접 제작한 22장의 그림카드를 이용해 회기별 사물기억 점수를 기록하였으며 통계처리로는 SPSS 12.0 프로그램을 이용하였다. 연구결과 풍경구성과 미술 능력평가 14개 하위척도로 구성된 치매노인의 시각적 자기표현 점수가 사전 점수에 비해 현저히 늘어났으며 요소의 변형을 제외한 통합성, 공간사용, 채색의 정도, 색의 수, 채색의 적절성, 채색의 안정성, 소묘선, 주제표현, 색채, 형태, 화면의 구성, 창의성 모두에서 유의하게 증가하였다. (p<0.05). 또한 자유롭게 미술 표현을 하면서 언어로 나타내고자 하는 의도가 높아졌으며 그림카드를 맞힌 개수도 꾸준히 증가하는 것을 보였으며 상관관계 분석에서 언어표현과 그림카드 기억은 시각적 자기표현의 공간사용지표와 주제표현요소에서 높은 상관성을 드러냈다. 결론적으로 집단미술치료 프로그램은 치매노인의 시각적 자기표현 및 언어적 자기표현과 그림카드를 이용한 사물 기억력 향상에 기여하는 것으로 평가되었다.
This research intended to find if there are positive changes in visual self-expression, Verbal expression and memory of object when the Aged with Dementia was treated with a group Art Therapy programs. The research subjects were eighteen old peoples with dementia at Day-care center. The aged had taken 20 group Art Therapy sessions for sixty minutes once a week from February 4. 2010 to July 15. 2010. As a measure to verify the effects of Art Therapy program, researchers modified the Landscape Montage Technique Index and the Artistic Level Measurement Index and used them as a visual self-expression index. Verbal expression was displayed by a 3 point index, which is a devised version of the Functional Verbal Activity Test Index, and recall test scores of each session were recorded by using 22 picture cards, based on the Enhanced Cued Recall Test, designed by the main researcher Sun-young Jung. SPSS 12.0 was used for statistical analysis. Research result showed that the visual self-expression scores, which is composed of scenery composition and 14 sub indexes of the Artistic Ability Test, of the aged with dementia were remarkably improved compared to the test scores taken at the introduction of the Art Therapy program. Also the research result showed meaningful improvements in the areas of Integration, Use of Space, Level of Coloring, Number of Colors, Appropriateness of Coloring, Stability of Coloring, Line Drawing (rough sketch), Expression of Subject, Coloring, Shape, Composition, and Creativeness, excluding Modification of Element. (p<0.05). Their willingness of using the Verbal expression increased while freely enjoying artistic expression. The picture card recall test score also increased steadily. In addition, it was revealed that the Verbal expression and the picture card recall have high correlation with the use of space and the expression of subject of the visual self-expression. In conclusion, The group Art Therapy program has been evaluated to contribute to improvements of the visual self-expression, the verbal expression and the memory of object of the aged with dementia.
