Object relations theory offers a new way of understanding the Korean artist, Park, Soo-Keun, who utilized art as a ’transitional space’ I where his personal losses and life difficulties were reflected, accepted and recreated in a creative way. Through this exploration, Park, Soo-Keun was understood as an artist who created his inner world of love and peace of mind through his life long works of painting and experienced the sublimation through art, It is a meaningful process for an art therapist to understand clients’ inner world with his or her paintings togethcr through the object relation theory. Art therapist should be able to understand the early and current object relations reflected in clients’ art with the framework or object relations theory. It can provide a safe space ror the clients to experience new object relationships in the art therapy
