This case-study attempted to examine the effect o[ art-therapy [or child's aggressive
behaviors. The subjc'Cl was a girl, 11 year-old elementary school student. The program
consisted of 18 sessions, each of which lasted 50 minutes.
The observation of therapy session, Questionnaires on child's empathy(Hwang's, 2000),
impulsivity(Byun's, 1996), aggressive behaviors(No's, 19&3), K-HTP, and KSD were used as
the evaluation of child's aggressive behaviors-reduction.
The results of this study were as follows ;
First, this art progran1 has an effect on improvement of child's empathy.
Second, this art program has an effecL on mitigation of child's impulsivity.
Third, this art program was helpful to mitigate child's aggressive behaviors by
improved empathy and reduced impulsivity.
