"This study sheds light on the interpretations of the symbolisms of natural beings found in circle center drawings based on academic research of theologists and mythologists who, from the most fundamental standpoint, sought to uncover the meanings of symbolisms emerging in the human subconscious mind; Focus on common surface level interpretations of symbolisms could lead to missing the fundamental meanings of the symbolisms, unable to see individual aspects and a possibility of recreation in the drawings. In this respect, this study sought to find the reasons for subconscious elements in the human mind easily projected on natural beings by looking at myths and religious rituals, which were the social and cultural foundations of ancient humans. In addition, this study sought to establish theoretical norms by which to interpret traces of symbolisms associated with natural beings latent in the psyche of people living in modern times.
This study enabled the researchers to see a wider range of symbolic sources from primitive religions and perceptions involving the understanding of humans. In this study children's circle center drawings showed much more symbolisms related to natural beings than those related to artificial creations, an indication of the mind of ancient humans existing in the minds of modern time children. Subsequent and continued study of this field will bring richer interpretations and more symbolism sources, which will give deeper understanding and insights into the mind of children, contributing to helping the inner growth of children.
