This study was designed to determine the most effective type of five different types of vestibular stimulation in n~ normal children ranging in age from 3 to 8 years. For the study, We used a
'Vestibulator II ' and investigated the level of tolerance to vestibular stimulation in each age level. The results were as follows :
1. The younger the age, the greater the tolerance to stimulation in the anterior- posterior direct10n.
2. The older the age, th~ greater the tolerance to diagonal or rotary stimulation.
3. We found that the most critical age for tolerance to vestibular stimulation is 6 years.
Therefore, we suggest that when stimulating the vestibular system, 1) the most effective types are diagonal and rotary movement and 2) children 6 years of age tolerate this stimulation for longer periods than other age levels, either higher or lower children.
