본 연구의 목적은 인지, 정서, 성적 친밀감 영역 외에 영적 영역을 새로이 추가한 부부친밀감 척도를 개발하고, 결혼만족도와의 관계 검증을 통해 부부친밀감 척도의 타당성을 검증하는데 있다. 이를 위해 선행연구를 통해서 각 변수들의 개념을 구체화하고, 조사에 필요한 측정도구를 구성하였다. 그리고 이 측정도구들을 사용하여 결혼한 부부들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 요인분석 결과 부부친밀감의 요소는 영적친밀감, 정신적 친밀감, 육체적 친밀감의 3요소로 구성되며, 영적친밀감은 신과의 영적친밀감과 배우자와의 영적친밀감으로, 또 육체적 친밀감은 성적 친밀감과 비성적 친밀감으로 구성되는 것으로 나타났다. 신뢰도 분석 실시 후, 각 친밀감과 결혼 만족도와의 관계를 상관분석을 통해 살펴보고, 각 친밀감이 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향을 다중회귀분석을 통해 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 영적친밀감(신과의 영적친밀감, 배우자와의 영적친밀감)은 모두 개인의 결혼만족도에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으나, 배우자와의 관계에 대한 결혼만족도에는 배우자와의 영적친밀감만이 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 논의에서 본 연구결과가 가지는 시사점과 의의를 밝혔다.
"This study is intended to develop a scale of couple intimacy including spiritual intimacy, an area of intimacy in the human realm besides perceptional, emotional and sexual intimacy. This study also aims to establish validity of this scale by examining its correlation with marital satisfaction among married couples. Each variable was defined and operated based on previous research. Measurements were prepared for the survey. This study set up an index of intimacy and satisfaction between couples and developed a theoretical for measuring spiritual and non-sexual intimacy. Surveys were conducted to Korean married couples. The results of factor analysis revealed that there are three factors consisted of intimacy: spiritual intimacy, mental intimacy and physical intimacy. By utilizing regression analysis, the effect of intimacy on marital satisfaction was examined. The implications of this study was discussed.
