The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of value inquiry discussion style instruction on the self-expression and self-esteem of the students with emotional and behavioral disorder. In order to accomplish such purpose, the research questions were established as follows. First, how much different effects are made by value inquiry discussion style instruction on the self-expression of the students with emotional and behavioral disorder? Second, how much different effects are made by value inquiry discussion style instruction on the self-esteem of the students with emotional and behavioral disorder? The results of this study are as follows. First, the experiment group could have confidence in presentation through practicing repeatedly and self-expression remodelling. And repeated success-experience was proved to be more effective on enhancing the self-expression ability. Second, the experiment group could set a high value on themselves through accomplishing their learning successively by solving the value inquiry questionnaire. As above, value inquiry discussion style instruction is suitable learning strategy to enhance the self-expression and self-esteem of the students with emotional and behavioral disorder.
