본 연구는 학습장애 위험군 청소년들의 성격 특성을 알아보기 위해 수행된 연구이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 전국 5개 지역 6개 중고등학교 총 317명의 학생들을 대상으로 하여 학생 개인별 전체 학업성취 평균 성적을 알아보고, 성격 5요인에 근거한 NEO 청소년 성격 검사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료를 통해 학업성취 수준에 따른 성격 5요인의 변화추이, 학업성취와 관련이 있는 성격 요인 파악, 학습장애 위험군 유무에 따른 성격 5요인간의 차이를 알아보기 위해 각각 기술통계, 시각적 분석, 상관분석, 독립표본 t검증을 활용하였다. 연구결과 성격 5요인 중 성실성과 신경증이 학업성취 수준에 따라 체계적인 증감을 보였고, 성격 5요인 중 학업성취에 유의한 관련성을 지닌 성격 변인들로써, 학습장애 위험군 청소년 여부를 판단하는 데 있어서 핵심적인 성격 요인들임을 확인할 수 있었다.
The main purpose of this current study was to investigate the personality trait of At-Risk adolescents. For this purpose, all 317 adolescents were tested NEO-PI-R: Korean version. And on the basis of test data collected for understanding about personality traits of At-Risk adolescents and comparison between At-Risk and Non At-Risk adolescents, descriptive statistic, correlation analysis, t-test was conducted. The results of this study, Neuroticism and Conscientiousness were main factors for improving the academic achievement of At-Risk adolescents and identifying whether At-Risk adolescents or not.
