목적 : 본 연구는 2014년 개정된 노인장기요양보험 제도의 내용과 작업치료사 역할에 대한 인식을 알아보고 인식개선을 위한 기초자료를 제시하고자 실시하였다. 연구방법 : 전국 각 지역에 있는 237명의 작업치료사를 대상으로 2015년 12월 25일부터 2016년 04월 15일까지 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문에 참여한 작업치료사들의 일반적 특성과 개정된 노인장기요양보 험제도의 인식에 대한 모든 항목은 빈도 분석을 실시하였다. 결과 : 연구결과 개정된 노인장기요양보험제도에 대한 작업치료사의 인식은 제한적인 것으로 나타났다. 인식도가 높은 집단은 남성 작업치료사, 연령 32세 이상자, 수도권 거주자 집단이 높았고, 인지활동형 프로그램 제공에 대한 작업치료사의 역할에서는 프로그램 교육과 복지용구 제공을 우선 순위로 인식하였 다. 작업치료사가 수행할 수 있는 서비스의 우선순위에서는 시설급여가 가장 높았고 방문목욕이 가장 낮았다. 작업치료사의 인식 개선을 위해 필요한 방법으로는 87명(36.7%)이 전문자격증 제도 도입이라고 응답하였다. 결론 : 본 연구는 개정된 노인장기요양보험제도에 대한 작업치료사들의 관심과 역할에 대한 기초자료로서 제시될 수 있을 것이다. 또한 작업치료사의 교육과 인식개선에 도움을 주어 발전된 작업치료서비스 제공에 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.
Objective : This paper was proposed to investigate the understanding and the role of occupational therapists regarding the act of long-term care insurance for the aged amended in 2014 and to provide evidence in which improving the level of awareness of occupational therapists on the system. Methods : A nationwide survey was conducted from December 25th, 2015 to April 15th, 2016. A total 237 therapists responded and frequency analysis was completed. Results : Relatively higher awareness was found in male occupational therapists, those aged 32 or older, and people living in capital region. Also, higher awareness was seen in responders who are a graduate student or who work in welfare centers or research institutes. In terms of providing cognitive activity programmes, many responders agreed the provision of the programs and assistive devices should be their prioritized role. 87 responders (36.7%) chose the introduction of professional certificate as a means to improve the awareness of occupational therapists regarding the system. Conclusion : The results of this study can be served as basic data regarding the interests and the role of occupational therapists within the amended act. Also, it is expected to be a help to raise awareness of occupational therapists that enables enhanced occupational therapy.
