이 논문에서는 급변하는 미래 사회에 적응하기 위한 우리나라 청각장애교육의 과제와 전망에 대하여 논의하였다. 우리나라 청각장애교육의 과제와 전망을 크게 6가지 주제로 구성하여 문제점과 해결방안 등을 제안하였다. 6가지 주제는 농문화, 특수교사자격증 제도, 통합교육 지원, 교과교육 지원, 인공와우 청각장애학생 지원, 농중복장애학생 지원 등이다. 그리고 이 논문에서는 미래 청각장애교육의 바람직한 방향을 보장받기 위해서는 수화와 국어의 차이에 대한 인식과 청각장애학생의 정체성 형성, 국어의 수행능력을 기대수준 이상으로 도달시키기 위한 교육적 노력과 배려, 학업성취 향상을 위한 바람직한 언어교육방법론의 수용, 그리고 교육과정 적용에 대한 효율성 검증 등과 같은 과제도 함께 제안하였다.
The purpose of this study was to discuss the tasks and prospects on the education for hearing impaired students to adjust the rapid changed future. The six subjects such as deaf culture, system of the special teacher license, inclusive education support, school subject education support, hearing impaired students with cochlear implant support, and hearing impaired students with multiple disabilities support were discussed. Also the recognition of the differences between Korean Sign Language and Korean Language, the identity of the hearing impaired students, the acceptance of the language teaching methods to increase the academical performance, and the verification of the effect in curriculum application in this study was suggested to ensure educational effects in future.
