"The purpose of this paper was to examine the effect of linedance woman participants' physical self-efficiency on the stress and mental health. Such a study is expected to scientifically prove the benefits of linedance and it could result in promoting linedance as leisure sports in Korea. The subjects were selected by convenience sampling method. They were composed of 400 women who had been practicing line dance in Seoul and Kyennggi province. In actuality, however, only 334 data were analyzed using SPSS 16. 0 for this study. The results are as follows: First, the effects of physical self-efficiency on the physical stress for the woman linedancers are as follows: The perceived physical ability had a positive effect on the psychological stress, lower factor of stress. The physcial self-expression confidence affected both the psychological as well as physical stress, the lower factor of stress. Second, the effect of physical self-efficiency on the mental health are as follows: It was found that the perceived physical self-efficiency for woman linedancers had a positive effect on the immunity, personal sensitivity, anxiety and hostility, which belong to lower factors of stress. Conclusively, linedace seems to help Korean women improve their mental as well as mental health. And it could be recommended as a valuable leisure sports for Korean women.
