"The purpose of this study was to compare the level of obesity and physical fitness between active worker's adolescent children (ACT) and sedentary worker's children (SED). The subjects participated in this study were 76 ACT (male 49, female 27) and 66 SED (male 45, female 21). The results of this study were as follows: First, in comparison of obesity between ACT and SED, the significant difference showed the body fat and body mass index (BMI) in female adolescent children (p<.05). Second, in comparison of physical fitness between ACT and SED, the significant different showed the step test, sit-up, standing long jump in female adolescent children (p<.05). These results suggested that father's job patterns influenced their female adolescent children' obesity level and physical fitness.
