"The purpose of this study was to explore the faithful execution of the search tasks and prospects of the future developmental direction of the physical education curriculum of the 7th revision in 2007 utilizing SWOT analysis. To perform this study, first, through the analysis of various documents published abroad to the current curriculum revision process and the characteristics were analyzed. Second, the revised physical education curriculum and the main content of the basic direction (characteristics, goals, content and evaluation) were analyzed. Third, through the expert meetings, the environment analysis had been attempted to analyze the current point of the environment using SWOT analysis. Finally, tasks had been extracted to be solved for realization of the 7th revision of school physical education curriculum and for reviewing the possible effects of the 7th revision. As research results, the strengths elements: First, it helped students understand the reasons for participating in physical activities. Second, it provided a comprehensive analysis of relevant factors to students who experienced physical activity and weaknesses: First, poor physical education classes from a teacher's autonomy by expanding the potential insolvency. Second, practical limitations of the course based on the philosophical theory of documents. The opportunities, increasing interest and social conversion of awareness for students and parents. The threats were: first, biased direction of education from intellectualism-centered curriculum. Second, phenomenon of the indifference of teachers to new curriculum due to Top-down curriculum system. Based on results, supplements were needed to meet the shortcomings of the centralized national curriculum system and programs related to the 2007 revised physical education curriculum for teachers and prospective teachers should be developed that suggested solutions.
