The purpose of this study is examining the dffects by administering the art
therapy program to the stuttering middle school student.
As ther result of an anaIysis and evaIuation of ther student’s ststus. not only a
short-tempered and a fast speaker but also has an anxiety-fear in communicating
with others and has difficulty in speaking with family from stuttering
Therefore, it is thought that ther art therapy is v eJγ suitable because of en
abling frustration to give out. This study proceded to program composed with
collage, plastic activity, scribble, making a copy of a painting, etc.
The reasult of this study, the subject who has been suffered with the
stuttering behavior demonstrates the considerable improvements in communication
behaviors.
That is, even though the anxiety of expressing publicly in school of caIling up
and the stuttering itself are not completely eliminated, he is able to express his own
ideas in home. to overcome the anxiety in being asked to read the book and 10 pray
as a representative in church.
Consequently, it is found that the art therapy program is effective in this
subject.
