This study attempt to explore the relation between children’s self-concept
and family dynamics by KFD. This study compare with self-concept and
family dynamics which consist of the 231 subjects from elementary school in
Korea(1l7) and America (14). One-way Analysis of Variance and T-test were
employed to analyze data coUected by instruments.
The results were as follows;
1. The general level of self-concept was high, es야ciaJl y the highest subarea
of the self-concept was family ego.
2. Korean American children were higher than Korean children in the self
-concept, and Two groups showed difference according to cultural
backgrounds.
3. Korean children drew father on the upper parts than Korean American
children, Korean American children tended to draw the frontal face of self than
Korean children.
4. The higher groups of self-concept drew self-image on the upper parts and
saw each other among figures than lower groups
