This case study is an example of sand play therapy practiced on a boy in second year of middle school for as a solution to unstable psychological and emotional state caused by child abuse. The child expressed hostility towards his father and anxiety including insecurity about his current state. In this case study sand play therapy was used to resolve emotional and unstable psychological problems through non-instructive and warm accommodation to be experienced by the subject to autonomously make resolutions and recoveries. Through the course of 21 sessions of sand play therapy the subjects psychological and emotional unstability was eliminated. Also the subject recovered inner growth and mental energy, and showed a maturing of the self to overcome the negative father image. Through this case study it was concluded that sand play therapy was indeed an effective treatment for child abuse victims which brings one's self growth and positive psychological alterations for subjects with psychological internal wounds.
