이 연구의 목적은 오르프-슐베르크를 적용한 음악활동이 통합된 발달지체 유아의 의사소통 기능에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 있다. 이를 위해서 3명의 언어발달지체 유아를 대상으로 오르 프-슐베르크를 적용한 음악활동을 대상자간 중다 간헐 기초선 설계에 따라서 진행하였다. 그 결 과, 3명의 발달지체 유아 모두 의사소통 기능에 유의미한 향상을 보였으며, 중재가 종료된 후에 도 이러한 효과는 유지되었다. 그리고, 중재로 인한 의사소통 기능의 향상이 새로운 환경에서도 일반화 되는지를 알아본 결과, 가정, 특수학급, 치료실에서도 의사소통 기능의 긍정적인 변화가 관찰되었다. 이 연구는 오르프 슐베르크 음악활동을 치료적인 관점에서가 아니라 실제 통합학급 상황에 적용하여 발달지체 유아의 의사소통 향상에 효과를 입증하였다는데 의의가 있다. 마지막 으로, 이 연구가 지니는 제한점과 후속연구 방향이 논의되었다.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of Orff-Schulwerk music activity-based program on communication skills of young children with developmental delays in inclusive classrooms. For the purpose, music activity-based program was conducted with multiple probe design across subjects for 3 children with developmental delays. The results showed that all the participants improved the frequency of communication functions, and positive changes maintained after the completion of intervention. In addition, the effects were generalized across in homes, special classes, and treatment classrooms. The study is significant in a sense that the Orff-Shulwerk music activity-based program for children with developmental delays was implemented in inclusive classrooms instead of therapeutic environments. Finally, limitations and future directions for studies were discussed.
