현대사회의 의학이 발달하고 생활수준과 생활환경이 개선되고 평균수명이 높아지면서 고령화 사회로의 진입은 급속도로 빨라지고 있는 현실이다. 고령화시대의 노인복지는 일자리 창출이 최고의 복지다라는 말처럼 우리나라의 노인일자리사업이 2004년 출발 이래 그 양적인 팽창은 우리나라 전체 고용지표에도 영향을 줄 수 있는 큰 규모의 증가와 더불어 사업매출의 성장세도 가파른 상승 곡선이다. 이는 노인인구의 일자리 제공이 자리매김 해가고 있다는 긍정적인 현상이다. 노인일자리사업은 노인의 적성과 능력에 맞는 일자리를 제공하여 노인의 건강, 적극적 사회참여, 소득보충 등으로 노인문제를 예방하고 사회적 비용을 절감하는 한편 노인인력활동에 대한 사회적 인식을 개선하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다.
The entry toward the Elderly Society is getting rapid in a fast speed because the average living age has been increased due to development of the medical science in the modern society and the improvement of life standard and environment. The elderly welfare in the Elderly Society is experiencing the both expansion since the start of the Korean Elderly Job Business on 2004, which are the rapid increasing curve for the business ales\' increasing trend and the big increase which will give the influence toward the Korea\'s entire hiring the index, like the word which has indicated that the creation of the work is the best welfare. This is the positive phenomenon that the providing job for the elderly population is being positioning. The Elderly Welfare Business is providing the job which fits the elderlies\' skills, preventing the elderly problems through the healthy, active participation toward the society, and supplementing the income to elder people while decreasing the social expense. Meanwhile, the goal of this business is to improve the social impressions about the elderly labor forces\' activities.
