최근 학부 대학교육에서 직무를 성공적으로 수행하는데 필요한 역량인 직업기초능력 향상의 필요성이 강조되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 사회복지분야에서 필요로 하는 직업기초능력과 실제 활용도를 파악하여 현장 요구에 부합한 교육체계 마련을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 이루어졌다. 이를 위해 공공 및 민간 영역의 사회복지사 269명을 대상으로 사회복지 실천에 있어서 직업기초능력의 필요도와 활용도, 이들간의 차이를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 필요도의 경우 대인관계능력, 자기관리 및 개발능력, 문제해결능력 점수가 높았고, 활용도의 경우 대인관계능력, 문제해결능력, 의사소통능력 순으로 나타났다. 필요도와 활용도의 차이를 분석한 결과 자원활용능력, 자기관리 및 개발능력, 조직이해능력의 차이가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 기초로 사회복지분야 학부 교육의 개선 방안을 제안하였다.
The purpose of this study was to explore necessity and utilization of core competency in the field of social work and the gap between them(necessity and utilization). For the purpose 269 social workers were surveyed in Chonbuk province. The Major finding are as follows. First, The most necessary core competencies were human relationship, self management and development and problem solving. Second, Core competencies that were being most frequently in practice were human relationship, problem solving and communication. lastly, core competencies that were having big gap between necessity and utilization were resource use, self management and development and organizational skills. On basis of these results, this paper provided some strategics for improving social welfare education program for undergraduate students.
