The identity, the basis of metatheatrical departure comes from the influence of the Quebec's theaterical environment where Lepage growed up and he learned theater for the first time. 「Andersen Project」, performed since the year 2005, march, is the metatheater reflected auther Lepage's identity in story and in forms. his works start with ‘stage wright’ through improvisation and collective work, achieve the metatheatrical form drowing selfdiscovery by actor, Lepage himself or the other actors, actress. In story, one part is the real side arround the Andersen project gone ahead by Paris' Opera theater Garnier. The other is the side of imaginary in Andersen's fairy tale「The Dryad」,「The Shadow」.
