The purpose of this study is the verification of moral education instruction by cooperative learning effect on middle
school 1st grade students’ learning motivation and self-efficacy. In the stage of treatment and evaluation, to verify the
effectiveness the students were divided into two groups; 35 in an experimental group, 35 in a controlled group from
Y middle school in Buk-gu, Busan participated. SPSS/Window 17.0 was used to analyze the data and the statistical
method, ANCOVA was used to verify the hypotheses. The results regarding an effect of the moral class that applied
cooperative learning to have become clear through this study procedures are as follows. First, the moral class which
executed in this study was effective to an education motive elevation of 1st grade of middle school students through
the cooperation educations learning. The second, the moral class which executed in this study was also effective to
a self-efficacy elevation of 1st grade of middle school students through the cooperation educations learning. According
to these results, the moral class program that applied cooperation learning is effective to raise a learning motive and
to improve a self-efficacy of a middle school student. In the last, limitations of this study and suggestions for next
studies were described.
