본 연구는 장애인복지시설에서 발달장애인의 도전적 행동 유형에 따른 신체적 개입이 시설종사자의 소진에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 도전적 행동에 대한 대응전략이 종사자 소진에 조절효과를 갖는지 분석하고 이를 바탕으로 장애인복지 발전을 위한 개입의 토대를 마련하는 것에 목적이 있다. 조사대상은 장애인복지시설에서 발달장애인을 대상으로 서비스를 제공하는 종사자 338명이다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 도전적 행동에 따른 종사자의 신체적 개입이 소진에 미치는 영향을 다중회귀분석으로 검증한 결과, 자해에 따른 신체적 개입을 하는 경우, 소진이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 대응전략의 수준이 소진에 영향을 미치는가를 분석한 결과, 기관의 대응전략의 수준이 높을수록 종사자의 소진이 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 끝으로, 도전적 행동이 소진에 미치는 영향에 대한 대응전략의 조절효과를 다중회귀분석으로 검증한 결과, 도전적 행동 유형 중 기물파손과 성적행동에 조절효과가 나타났다.
This study explores the effect of physical intervention by type of challenging behavior of the people with development disabilities on the worker burnout in welfare facilities for the disabled, and analyzes whether the response strategy for challenging behavior has an moderating effect of the worker burnout. The sample size was 338 worker who provide services to people with developmental disabilities in welfare facilities for the disabled. The major findings from moderated multiple regressions are as follows: First, In the case of physical intervention due to self-injury, burnout increased. Second, the higher the level of response strategy in the institution, the lower the level of the worker burnout. Lastly, response strategy has a moderating effect on the worker burnout according to challenging behavior in the relationship with the level of hitting objects and inappropriate sexual behavior at the challenging behavior.
