이 연구의 목적은 질적연구방법을 활용하여 여가스포츠 활동에 참여하는 국내 외국인 이주근로자의 문화차이에 관한 현상에 대해 분석하고자 하였다. 특히 국내에서 경험한 외국인 이주근로자의 문화적이고 독특한 현상에 대해 구체적으로 탐색해보고자 하였다. 그 결과 총 세 가지의 의미 있는 결과로 분류할 수 있었다. 첫째, 여가스포츠 활동에 참여하고 있는 외국인 이주근로자들은 스포츠 현장에서 낯선 단체생활 위주인 새로운 한국문화를 수용하고 있는 태도를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 국내 외국인 이주근로자들은 스포츠 활동 참여에 참여하면서‘시간적 제약’과 ‘금전적 제약’을 겪고 있는 것으로 드러났다. 셋째, 국내 외국인 이주근로자들은 스포츠 활동에 참여하면서 국내 스포츠문화에 대한 이질감을 느끼고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 요인은‘스포츠현장에서의 과시성’과‘스포츠 장비에 관한 과도한 관심’ 등으로 분류할 수 있었다.
The study’s aim is to analyzes the cultural differences of foreign migrant workers in South Korea who participated in leisure sports activities on the basis of qualitative method. Moreover, the study proved cultural and unique phenomenon from foreign migrant workers who experienced in leisure sports activities in South Korea. As a result, meaningful conclusions have become in this a research. Firstly, they had embraced a new Korean culture that values group activity such as getting a drinking time with group members after work or sports. Second, they had experienced ‘time and financial constraints’ while participating leisure sports activity. Third, they felt a sense of cultural alienation in the sports field from their culture such as ‘the flamboyance of Koreans on the sports field’ and ‘their excessive interest of sports equipment .
