This study was conducted to investigate the influence of group expressive arts psychotherapy on children’s creativity and emotional intelligence through use of picture books. The targets in the study were 12 children between 4-5 years old; six of the children were placed in the experimental group and six in the control group. The experimental group participated in the group expressive arts psychotherapy program from June 1, 2018 to July 11, 2018, twice a week for 60 minutes per session for a total of 12 times. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 20.0; we also used Mann-Whitney U to identify homogeneity between the experimental group and the control group before the start of the program. Following the program, we looked for effects of the program using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The result of this study demonstrated that group expressive arts psychotherapy program through use of picture books positively influenced children’s creativity and emotional intelligence and possessed potential to help children develop into a mature member of the society.
