The purpose of this study was to analyze the interest, task-commitment and self-regulation abilities of elementary science gifted students in science learning. For this study, a questionnaire of 18 questions(5 items of interest, 5 items of task-commitment, and 8 items of self-regulation ability) was conducted to elementary science gifted students in two gifted education institutions, and the data were collected by a pre-test and a post-test. The collected data were analyzed by the SPSS to investigate their interest, task-commitment and self-regulation abilities. The results of this study found that there were differences in interest, task-commitment and self-regulation ability according to the institutions. Based on these results, the implications for gifted education of elementary science gifted students are suggested.
