The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception of the STEAM education in the elementary science class between general teachers and teachers in STEAM education research groups(STEAM teachers). For this, 29 STEAM teachers and 40 general teachers were surveyed at elementary school located in Gyeongi province. The results of this study were as follows: First, the perception of the STEAM teachers was significantly higher than that of the general teachers. Second, the perception of both groups about the necessity of the STEAM education was higher than the average. Third, although the perception of the two groups about the application of STEAM education was lower than the average, that of the STEAM teachers was significantly higher than that of the general teachers.
