이 연구는 초등과학 수업에서 일반교사와 STEAM 교육 연구회 교사간의 STEAM 교육에 대한 인식을 알아보기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 경기도 소재 초등학교에 있는 STEAM 교육 연구회 교사 29명과 일반교사 40명을 대상으로 설문조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전체적인 STEAM 교육에 대한 인식에서 STEAM 교육 연구회 교사는 일반교사보다 높은 것으로 나타났고 이는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 초등과학 수업에서 STEAM 교육의 필요성에 대한 인식에서 두 집단 교사의 인식이 보통보다 높았다. 셋째, 초등과학 수업에서 STEAM 교육의 적용에 대한 인식에 있어서 두 집단 교사의 수준은 보통보다 낮았고, 집단간 비교에서 STEAM 교육 연구회 교사가 일반 교사보다 높은 인식을 하고 있었으며 이는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception of the STEAM education in the elementary science class between general teachers and teachers in STEAM education research groups(STEAM teachers). For this, 29 STEAM teachers and 40 general teachers were surveyed at elementary school located in Gyeongi province. The results of this study were as follows: First, the perception of the STEAM teachers was significantly higher than that of the general teachers. Second, the perception of both groups about the necessity of the STEAM education was higher than the average. Third, although the perception of the two groups about the application of STEAM education was lower than the average, that of the STEAM teachers was significantly higher than that of the general teachers.
