본 연구는 학교 현장에서 융합교육을 실행하고 있는 고등학교에 대한 사례 연구를 통해 학교차원의 융합교육 실행 방안을 탐구하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 융·복합시대의 융합교육 개념과 미래핵심역량 교육의 한 방안으로서 융합교육의 중요성을 살펴보고, 융합교육의 실행을 위한 모형과 방법을 파악하였으며, 그 바탕 위에 융합교육 실행에 있어서 두드러진 특색을 보인 A고등학교를 연구대상으로 탐색적 사례연구를 하였다. 분석 방법은 융합교육이 실행되는 단계에 따라 시계열 분석과 설명하기 방법을 적용하여 준비 및 계획, 실행, 결과의 단계로 구분하여 각 단계별로 나타나는 현상을 설명하였다. 특히 실행 단계의 분석은 실제 학교에서 융합교육을 시행하는 형태에 따라 교과 연계, 지역사회 연계, 창의적체험활동 연계 융합교육으로 구분하여 진행하였다. 연구결과에 따르면, 학교차원에서 융합교육을 실행하기 위해서는 첫째, 교사학습공동체 활동을 기반으로 융합교육을 준비, 계획해야 하고, 교사 역량을 높이는 방안으로 교사학습공동체 활동을 활성화해야 한다. 둘째, 융합교육 시행단계에 따라, 교과와 교과, 교과와 창의적체험활동, 교과와 지역사회를 연계하여 학년별 융합프로그램을 구성해서 실행해야 하며 셋째, 학교차원에서 일정 조정이나 프로젝트 기간 지정, 그리고 융합교육 활동과 평가가 연계될 수 있도록 지원하여 융합교육의 내실을 기해야 한다는 결론을 얻을 수 있다.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the implementation plan of the convergence education at the school level through the case study of the high school which is carrying out the convergence education at school. To this end, we examined the convergence education concept in the era of convergence and the importance of convergence education as a way of the future core competency education, and identified models and methods for implementing convergence education. On its basis we conducted an exploratory case study on the high school which showed prominent characteristics in the implementation of convergence education. The analysis is based on time-series analysis and explanatory building method, according to the stages of the convergence education, which is divided into preparation and planning, execution, and results. According to the research results, in order to implement the convergence education at the school level, first, it is necessary to prepare and plan the convergence education based on the teacher learning community activities and activate the teacher learning community activities as a way to enhance the teacher capacity. Second, according to the implementation stage of the convergence education, the convergence education program for each grade should be formed and executed by linking the subject with the subject, the subject with creative experiential activity, the subject with the community. Third, it can be concluded that the coordination of the schedule, the designation of the project period, and the linkage between the teaching activities and evaluation should be supported at the school level for the convergence education to be performed well.
