The purpose of this study was to examine the positive effects of exercise related health education on self-assessment of health in university students. The subjects were 26 students at health education class and 55 students at non-health education class. When the self-assessment of health was compared with the average of the items, we got conclusions as follows. First, exercise related health education group had not significantly difference in personal relationship, working environment, and mental health. Second, exercise related health education group had not significantly difference in stress management and physical fitness management. Third, exercise related health education group had significantly difference in nutrition and weight control. Fourth, exercise related health education group had not significantly difference in drinking, smoking, medicine using, and disease prevention. Fifth, exercise related health education group had not significantly difference in sex and health, personal safety and violent accident prevention. Sixth, exercise related health education group had not significantly difference in consumer protection for health and healthy environment. Overall results suggest that the exercise related health education class has significant effects in nutrition and weight control, but other self-assessment of health factors have not significant effects. So we need to provide systematic health education and exercise prescription.
